Here is some important information you may need.

Children must bring their book bags in everyday so that their reading book can be changed as and when needed. Please make sure you sign and date the yellow booklet when you have read with your child.

PE this term will be on a Friday afternoon. Children will need to keep a PE bag in school and arrive each and every day in their full school uniform. Please make sure your child does not wear earrings as they cannot take part with them in.

This term the children will be taking part in Forest School on a Wednesday morning. For this the children will need to arrive at school in old, warm clothes with wellies, waterproof pants and a waterproof coat.

Each week on a Friday your child will recieve Wednesday Word, Picture News and Century Tech homework. These will need completing and handing in the following week by Wednesday.

As many of you know, Year 3 can be a busy year but below are some things that can be done to help further your learning at home.

1. Handwriting practice. Practicing handwriting is always essential and as the children develop, they will be expected to write down more of their amazing ideas into their books.

2. Reading. Please try and read for 15 minutes at least 4 times a week with your child and dont forget to sign the reading record!

3. Times tables. Times tables are a huge focus in both Year 3 and Year 4 and for that reason we would like children to access and use TT Rockstars at home.

And finally! Should you have any questions or queries please feel free to ask your Year 3 teaching team,

Mr Bentley and Mrs Hodgson.
